The hundred languages of children

Probably the best-known aspect of the Reggio Emilia Approach is the Hundred Languages of Children.

This term refers to the many ways that children have of expressing themselves. The hundred languages are the endless number of children’s potentials, their ability to wonder and to inquire.

The belief that children use many different ways to show their understanding and express their ideas and creativity. A hundred different ways of thinking, of discovering, of learning. Through drawing and sculpture, through dance and movement, through painting and fiction, through modeling and music.

Here you have a poster and a video with the poem.
